Home > Carbon steel wire
Carbon steel wires are used as filler material in MIG/MAG welding processes on non-alloy steels and fine-grained steels. They are commonly used in metal fabrication, structural assembly, boilermaking, shipbuilding and other industrial applications.
Our range includes G3Si1 and G4Si1 wires classified in accordance with the EN ISO 14341 standard, available in various diameters, finishes and formats for manual work and automated processes.
The G3Si1 wire is one of the most commonly used options for general welding on carbon steel. Its composition promotes arc stability and uniform bead formation.
For jobs requiring different manganese and silicon content, the range includes G4Si1 wire. This grade allows the filler material to be adapted to the characteristics of the base steel and the requirements of the welding process.
These products are available in our catalogue on S300 plastic spools, BS300 metal spools and in 250 kg drums. The spools are suitable for conventional equipment, whilst the drums allow for extended operation on robotic lines, automated systems and continuous processes.
