Low-strength threaded rods are used in applications where high tensile strength or fatigue strength is not required. As they offer limited load capacity, they are not recommended for use in heavy loads or under intense vibration. We work with low-strength threaded rods made of uncoated steel in lengths of one metre and zinc-coated in lengths of one and two metres.
At CHAVESBAO, we distribute carbon steel rods in accordance with ISO 898-1, available with black or zinc coating to adapt to different environmental conditions. Their compatibility with standard nuts and washers facilitates their integration into common fastening systems.

4.8 threaded rods according to ISO 898-1

Class 4.8 rods are used in assemblies where loads are moderate and structural performance is not required. They offer adequate performance indoors and in simple supports, maintaining the necessary capacity for auxiliary fastenings and service assemblies. All versions incorporate metric threads in accordance with ISO 261/965, ensuring compatibility with standard fasteners used in construction and industry.

How to choose the right threaded rod

The choice depends on the environment and the function of the assembly. For indoor or moderately demanding applications, 4.8 rods in black or zinc-plated finishes can be used, while in damp or semi-outdoor areas, the zinc-plated finish provides additional protection against corrosion. Selecting the right coating ensures safe and reliable assembly in light and auxiliary applications.
