Electrode with basic coating, for coatings subject to abrasion, with or without impact

Per page:
Welding electrodes, also known as wear-resistant electrodes, are designed for the repair and surface protection of parts subjected to abrasion, impact or continuous friction. They allow worn areas to be rebuilt and industrial components that operate in demanding conditions to be reinforced.

By applying a resistant filler material, these electrodes extend the service life of machinery and metal elements without the need to completely replace the part, optimising maintenance costs and reducing downtime.

Coatings, types of wear and common applications

Weld overlay electrodes are used in industrial machinery, agricultural equipment and components subject to severe wear due to impact or abrasion. They are commonly used in corrective and preventive maintenance when it is necessary to restore dimensions or improve the surface strength of the base material.

Available with a basic coating, they stand out for their resistance to cracking and good weldability in most working positions, except vertically downwards. The selection should be made based on the predominant type of wear, the base material and the hardfacing thickness required to ensure adequate performance in service.
