Aluminium wires are used as filler material in MIG processes on aluminium and its alloys. They are commonly used in shipbuilding, transport, tank manufacturing, lightweight structures and industrial maintenance.

This category includes wires from the aluminium-magnesium and aluminium-silicon families, classified in accordance with standard EN ISO 18273. Each composition is designed to meet specific requirements for strength, weldability and corrosion resistance.

S Al 5356, S Al 4043 and S Al 5183 wires

The thread S Al 5356 (AlMg5Cr(A)) is an aluminium-magnesium alloy used in structures and applications exposed to marine environments. It offers good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, making it a common choice for structures and applications exposed to marine environments.

The S Al 4043 (AlSi5) contains silicon, an element that improves the fluidity of the weld pool and facilitates bead formation. It is used on various compatible aluminium alloys and produces uniform finishes.

For jobs with higher mechanical requirements, the S Al 5183 (AlMg4.5Mn0.7(A)), particularly suitable for marine applications and components subjected to demanding conditions.

The S Al 5356 and S Al 5183 grades are supplied in S300 coils and in various diameters to suit the welding equipment and the thickness of the workpieces.
