Structural bolts or high-strength bolts are essential in the construction of metal structures, as they can withstand high loads and resist high vibrations. The high-strength hexagonal bolt is suitable for installation in metal structures, construction anchors, flange connections, electrical towers, bridges and industrial buildings.
Structural fastener sets

We have sets of structural fasteners under EN standard:

  • EN 14399-4: preload set used in high strength structural joints with HV system, quality 10.9 and class K1. It consists of bolt, nut and double washer, and is available in black, zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanised finish. The K 1 classification indicates the ability of the fasteners to be tightened using the torque control method or combined method via the k-factor. Its optimum application is for metal structures where tensile strength is of prime importance.
  • EN 15048: set used in structural connections without preload, consisting of bolt and nut, manufactured in quality 8.8 and available in zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanised coating. No controlled tightening is required; uniform hand tightening is sufficient. Its application is focused on shear-tensioned structures.

These two sets of structural fasteners are CE marked in accordance with the Construction Products Directive. The CE marking to EN 14399-4 and EN 15048 certifies the correct manufacture and compliance with safety requirements for the construction product sets.
