Retaining washer

Per page:

At CHAVESBAO, we have a selection of special washers that meet specific support, preload and locking requirements in mechanical joints. This group includes warped washers, wedge washers for beams, Belleville washers and high-load conical washers, as well as toothed washers and safety washers for shafts.

These solutions are used in metal structures, laminated beams, machinery, electrical assemblies, transmissions and shaft systems, where it is necessary to correct inclinations, maintain bolt tension or secure components quickly and effectively.

DIN 137 B wave washers

DIN 137 B wave washers have a corrugated geometry that acts as an axial spring. When compressed during tightening, they generate an elastic force capable of compensating for tolerances, settlements and small expansions, helping to maintain the tension of the joint.

They are used in light machinery, electrical assemblies and applications with reduced axial travel, especially when there is no space for conventional springs but elasticity is required in the support. Available in steel with a black finish in standard metric sizes.

Wedge washers for U-beams DIN 434 and DIN 435

DIN 434 and DIN 435 wedge washers are designed to be installed on inclined flanges of U-profiles or rolled beams. Their surface has a slope of 8% in DIN 434 and 14% in DIN 435, which compensates for the inclination of the profile and creates a parallel base for the screw head or nut.

This design allows for even load distribution and prevents displacement or deformation in the fastening. They are commonly used in metal structures, beam supports, rail joints and assemblies where fasteners are fixed directly onto U-profiles. They are available in black and zinc-plated finishes, depending on the level of protection required.

DIN 2093 Belleville washers and DIN 6796 conical washers

DIN 2093 washers (Belleville or disc springs) are conical elastic washers capable of generating very high compressive forces in a small axial space. They are used to preload bolted joints, compensate for settlement and maintain tightening torque in applications subject to load cycles, vibrations or thermal changes.

DIN 6796 conical washers, on the other hand, are specifically designed for high-strength fasteners (8.8 and 10.9). Their greater rigidity allows the bolt tension to be maintained in the face of vibration, material relaxation or expansion. Both types are used in flanges, heavy machinery, pre-tensioned joints and assemblies where it is critical to maintain the tightening force throughout the service life of the assembly.

Toothed and safety washers DIN 6798 A and DIN 6799

DIN 6798 A toothed washers feature external teeth that increase friction between the washer and the bearing surface, helping to prevent loosening in assemblies subject to vibration or micro-movements. In electrical applications, multiple contact points facilitate conductive continuity.

The DIN 6799 washer is an ‘E’ type retaining ring for shafts. It is press-fitted into a groove and acts as an axial stop for bushings, pins or light bearings. It is a compact and quick solution that does not require nuts or threaded elements.
